Oversee the recruitment and placement function for the City of Columbus by attracting and retaining skilled, experienced, and motivated employees; assist Department Heads with Human Resources matters involving disciplinary matters, grievance issues, job description updates, skills tests, etc.; extensive knowledge of human resource and personnel laws, regulations, and procedures including compensation and benefits, FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation; draft and update personnel rules; maintain confidential personnel files; oversee payroll for the City of Columbus; and assist in administering the City’s group health insurance plan.
